My father gave it to me and I don’t like him. It reminds me of him. I don’t like it.

    Too basic. Too little info.

  2. This book presents healthy living as a total life concept. It emphasizes not only eating and exercise but also the importance of staying connected with others, stress, attitude and safe practices such as wearing sunscreen and using a seat belt.

The authors don’t just tell us to eat right they tell us how to be motivated to eat right. They give us realistic goals and ways to anticipate problems and keep on despite the inevitable backsliding. We’re in this life for life.

Great photos, short, easy-to-read sections and interviews with Mayo Clinic doctors enhance the usability of this book for maintaining good lifestyle habits and choices.

  3. After waiting for so long for “the real Mayo Clinic” diet, even ordered the book before it was released, I was very disappointed by its rudimentary same simplistic approach to dieting. Also it lacks sample menus and its so simple on so many levels. Mayo Clinic played it safe and wrote an approach of healthy eating, and you would have to have come from a different planet not to know! I will donate mine to the Port Austin library! They need books!

  4. This is a good resource. Mayo Clinic always puts out good information and products. I am in the medical field and consider them a very trusted source. More than just an eating plan. Mayo Clinic gives many helpful ways to change your lifestyle that are manageable for a hectic schedule.
